White Glo SA Friendship & Freedom Campaign commercial lifestyle photography
Project Brief
The brief was simple. Make it feel real. White Glo SA came to us wanting a campaign rooted in friendship, freedom and the kind of joy South African women actually live not the version that gets staged for a mood board.
We took that brief and built something around a single creative instinct: what happens when you stop asking people to perform confidence and just let them have it. The Friendship & Freedom Campaign is what came out the other side. Raw, warm, distinctly South African and completely unrepeatable.

The Brief & Creative Vision
White Glo SA is stocked in every major retailer across South Africa. The product reach was already there. What the brand needed was a campaign that actually connected something that felt cultural, felt warm, felt like the people buying it off the shelf every week.
We came in with a clear creative direction. Before strategy decks or shot lists, the question we asked was: what does confidence actually look like on a real woman, in a real moment? The answer shaped everything. We built a campaign around friendship, around celebration, around the smiles that happen when nobody's telling you to smile.

Behind the Lens
Before we called action on a single frame, I'd already made the creative call that defined the whole shoot. I wanted to photograph each subject mid-brush — toothbrush in hand, looking straight down the lens. No glamour. No direction to look beautiful. Just a real person, in a real moment, caught.
What happened was unexpected and completely right. Every woman showed up differently. One laughed. One went wide-eyed and started making jokes. One owned it like she'd been waiting for someone to point a camera at that exact moment. The awkwardness became the confidence. The unguarded became the iconic inspiration. And when those images went live, the audience felt what we felt on set —that this was something you couldn't fake, couldn't generate, couldn't brief your way into. You had to be there and know what you were looking for.
